Sol du Mazel is a single stone building in the Périgord Noir — two interconnected gîtes, Rose Barn and Hope Cottage, that together sleep ten across five bedrooms. When you book, you take the entire property. There are no other guests, no shared facilities, no neighbours through a thin wall.

The pool is heated from May through the end of September. The grounds run to four acres of meadow, orchard and woodland. The children have a play fort, a full-size trampoline, a toddler area and a sandpit. The adults have a shaded terrace, hammocks and a Cornilleau table tennis table.

Sarlat, the Dordogne castles, the canoe runs on the river, the prehistoric caves — all of it is within twenty-five minutes.

Sol du Mazel is one property made up of two interconnected gîtes. Many groups use them the same way: one generation per gîte, with a connecting door that stays as open or closed as you want. Each side has its own full kitchen, its own living area, its own bedrooms.
